Saturday, August 16th - Tomato Fiesta
Tomato Season is finally here! Celebrate at our 3rd Annual Tomato Fiesta!
Tomato Tasting:
10am-1pm (while supplies last), You won't believe the colors, shapes and sizes of the tomatoes! Green, purple, striped, black, yellow and of course red tomatoes will be featured at our 3rd Annual tomato tasting. Also, check out special guest vendor Heritage Gardens - they grow over 60 kinds of heirloom tomatoes!
Cooking Demo:
10am, Chef Marshall Paulsen of the Birchwood Cafe highlights the season's freshest tomatoes in a Poached Salmon with Heirloom Tomatoes and Swiss Chard.
Cookbook Signing:
10am, Cookbook author Mi Ae Lipe will be signing and selling the new Featherstone Farm Cookbook. Live Music:
11am – 1pm, Trio Mexico brings south of the border flair to the Tomato Fiesta!
Mill City Museum
10am - 5pm
For Kids: Splash in the museum’s water lab, explore the interactive exhibits and nose around in the Bake lab.
See the film, "Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat", a whirlwind tour of our fair city, written by and starring local humorist, playwright and radio personality Kevin Kling. The show plays every 30 minutes and is included in museum admission.
