9am-1pm (while supplies last): Join our partners from the University of Minnesota for samples and tips on selecting, preparing and storing root veggies! Make the most of the remaining market days by stocking up on winter root crops!

Market Fresh Autumn Arrangements

Create sophisticated and economical arrangements to celebrate the harvest's bounty using seasonal flowers, fruits and vegetables straight from the market! Enjoy them composed artfully at your fall gathering one day, relish them on your dinner plate the next! Bring a lined basket or wide container to take part in our guided demonstration or purchase a piece of pottery from our market artisans.
Cooking Demo:
10am, Chef Beth Jones shares ideas using winter crops and game available at MCFM for a unique and delicious Farmers Market Salad.
Live Music:
11am – 1pm, The Danny Jack Fiasco makes their market debut and entertains with alt rock and folk music.
Mill City Museum
10am - 5pm
For Kids: Splash in the museum’s water lab, explore the interactive exhibits and nose around in the Bake lab.
See the film, "Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat", a whirlwind tour of our fair city, written by and starring local humorist, playwright and radio personality Kevin Kling. The show plays every 30 minutes and is included in museum admission.
