Saturday, September 6 - Baking Bread

Cooking Demo:
10:00am, Zoe Francois gives tips and teaches great techniques to baking bread. 

Book Signing:
11:00am, Liked what you learned at the cooking demo?  Get a book signed by Zoe and try your own baking skills at home.

Live Music:

11am – 1pm, Ole Olsson's Oldtime Orkestra play fiddles, accordions, pump organ and guitar, and sing some funny Scandinavian vaudeville songs that may occasionally make Lutheran ladies smile.

Special Cooking Demo:  Baking Scandinavian Breads with the Norse Baking Institute

Mill City Museum welcomes guest bakers Kim Ode and Klecko back to the Mill City Museum Baking Lab for an afternoon of tips, demonstrations, sampling and fun! They will demonstrate how to bake a variety of breads from Scandinavian countries, including Nordic Saffron Oat Biscuits, Danish Julekage, Icelandic Three-Grain Soda Bread, Norwegian Flatbread, Swedish Rye and Limpa, and Finnish Cardamom Bread. 

Cost: Included with regular museum admission. $10 adults, $8 seniors and college students,
$5 children ages 6-17. Free for  MHS members and children 5 and under.

For Kids: Splash in the museum’s water lab, explore the interactive exhibits and nose around in the Bake lab.

See the film, "Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat", a whirlwind tour of our fair city, written by and starring local humorist, playwright and radio personality Kevin Kling.  The show plays every 30 minutes and is included in museum admission.
